Teulada-Moraira’s fine sandy beaches and rocky coves are what attract tourists to the area. Quality beaches and coves with all the amenities and an endless choice of leisure activities.

The references of Teulada-Moraira’s 8 Km of coastline are a wide variety of beaches and coves that have been awarded the European Community Blue Flag, the ISO 9001 Quality System Certificate and the ISO 14001 Environmental Management Certificate. Three of the beaches enjoy Blue Flag status: Moraira El Portet Beach, L’Ampolla Beach, Les Platgetes - the surest guarantee of water quality and beach amenities.
  • El Portet Beach: a small, crescent-shaped, sandy beach. A very welcoming beach with a promenade full of typical restaurants. A very complete beach, with a breakwater for lovers of rocky spaces. It has a lifeguard and first aid service, footbath, toilets, walkway, property lockers, canoe hire, car park, bars and restaurants and, of course, Blue Flag status. The perfect beach for an early morning swim followed by breakfast on the seafront.

  • L’Ampolla Beach: located beneath Moraira Castle, this is the largest and busiest beach in the municipality, in Moraira itself. It has Blue Flag status and also an Environmental Information and Education award from the European Foundation for Environmental Education, an award shared with two other Spanish beaches to date. L’Ampolla Beach is 250 m. long and 30 m. wide, is of fine sand and has a lifeguard and first aid service. It can be reached on foot, by car or by public transport, and there is access for persons with reduced mobility. It is well signposted and there is a car park. Sunshades and hammocks are available for hire and there are water sports, a walkway, regular cleaning service, newspaper kiosk, bar, toilets and sports area.

  • Les Platgetes: next to L’Ampolla Beach. It is a small beach combining a sandy area and a rocky area. There is a pretty promenade with garden areas and a car park. The beach has a lifeguard and first aid service, footbath, toilets, walkway and Blue Flag status. There is a variety of bars and restaurants on the beachfront to round off a day on the beach.

  • Cala L’Andragó: after Les Platgetes, cliffs take over the coastline and nestled among them we find Cala L’Andragó cove. This cove is renowned for the quality of its clean, limpid waters and the beauty and diversity of its sea bed. It is a unique spot for lovers of coves, diving and fishing. There is a viewing point at the entrance to the cove and next to it are bars and restaurants, ideal for sampling our gastronomy and closing the day looking out over the Mediterranean.

  • Punta de L’Estrella: this is the least known cove of all, given its location on the sheerest part of the Teulada-Moraira coastline. Getting there and enjoying its waters is a reward in itself. To reach Punta de L’Estrella, take the Moraira - Calpe road and look on the left; the last part of the journey can only be done on foot. It is a beautiful spot, perfect for spending a day on the beach with a picnic. It is the last cove in the municipality.
